Nashville Teeth Whitening
Your brighter smile is more convenient than you think! Dr. David Wickness offers in-office and at-home teeth whitening options so you can achieve your smile goals on any schedule.
In-Office Teeth Whitening: Zoom
With Zoom whitening, you can sit back and relax while we brighten your smile for you! Here’s how this method works:
- Your lips are held and covered by retractors and a napkin.
- Your gums are covered with a protective coating.
- A high-strength peroxide gel is applied to your teeth.
- A light is shined on your teeth to activate the bleaching agent in the gel.
When we’re all done, your teeth will be up to 8 shades whiter!
At-Home Teeth Whitening: Opalescence
Opalescence whitening allows you to brighten your smile at home, comfortably and conveniently. Here’s how it works:
We send you home with concentrated peroxide gel and a plastic tray.
- The tray holds the gel to your teeth, allowing the bleaching agent to seep down to the source of staining.
- You wear the tray for a set period of time each day for 10 days or more to reach your desired level of brightness.
- We see you for a follow-up visit to check for sensitivity to the gel.
To fit your budget and smile aspirations, we offer both Opalescence Go and Opalescence PF. With Opalescence Go, a pre-made plastic tray is used. For Opalescence PF, Dr. Wickness custom designs a tray to fit your teeth exactly. Opalescence Go is designed for use during the day, while Opalescence PF can be used overnight or for short daytime periods.
How to Get Started
To make sure your teeth and gums are in good health, Dr. Wickness will perform a comprehensive dental exam before getting you started with teeth whitening. For Opalescence PF patients, he’ll also take digital impressions of your teeth at this appointment so your custom tray can be made.
When you’re ready for your brighter smile, give us a call at (615) 297-5090, and we’ll be happy to get you scheduled for your exam. If you prefer, simply request an appointment online, and we’ll call you to schedule.
