Is There an Age Limit for Invisalign?
I recently saw an advertisement for Invisalign Teen. At 62, I’m not exactly a teenager. Is this treatment possible for someone my age? I have always wanted to straighten my teeth but didn’t really want a mouth full of metal because I still work and it would look odd in a professional setting. This could be the exact thing I have needed.

Dear Beverly,
I have some GREAT news for you. Invisalign was actually made for people in your exact situation. When you are a professional, a mouth full of metal can hold you back at work. Adults needed a better alternative to traditional braces. Hence, Invisalign. The teen version came later.
We don’t know of an upper bound on using Invisalign. I expect that as long as your teeth and gums are healthy, which are required for any orthodontics, you will be a fine candidate.
There is a study club where the dentists from a certain region discuss their current Invisalign cases. I know one of them had a patient who was in her 80s! Compared to that, you are nothing but a young pup.
You will find that not only can if straighten your teeth invisibly, but it will do so in half the time as traditional braces. There is also a way for you to whiten your teeth at the same time as you straighten them. As we age, our teeth pick up more and more stains. The good news is that the Invisalign aligners can double as teeth whitening trays, allowing you to straighten and whiten your teeth at a fraction of the cost than you would pay if you did them separately.
So go ahead, young lady, and get that gorgeous smile you’ve always wanted.
